Thank you for supporting IN DUBIO PRO GEO
.
If you have questions relating to your computation, e.g. because it did not yield the desired result, you may
and send the link for loading it together with your question and your contact address. You will receive an answer within some hours.

-
Sometimes using the back-button of the browser causes problems because computations cannot
be correctly repeated due to data, which have been cleared or changed by now.
Use the back-button with care!
-
If you run IN DUBIO PRO GEO in different tabs of the same browser window then you work on
the same project in all those tabs! This may be undesired.
Sometimes this problem occurs, if a IN DUBIO PRO GEO project is loaded via an external
link or bookmark, and the browser creates a new tab, but a project is already worked on in
the same browser. It may happen that the new project has not been loaded correctly.
The safest solution it to close the browser first.

If angles are involved in a computation, then all quantities, which appear in
angle notation
, e.g. 16°10´19.63'',
are converted to the standard notation, even though they are not angles.
Be sure to give only angles in this angle notation here.
- Arithmetic expressions in
Input areas
are not workable in the angle unit
DegMinSec.
- In the case of DegMinSec for longitude and latitude no canvas is displayed up to now.
-
If pointnames can be interpreted as numbers with decimal point, e.g. 123.456
, and ''comma'' is chosen as an output decimal separator
, the pointname is displayed as 123,456
. If this point also exists, a conflict is caused.
- If for
both points are close to the equator or one point is near a pole,
the computation may be inaccurate or even fail.
- If for the the Documentation of the computation procedure
is invoked, then for points with individual solutions very close to each other, the solution number can sometimes not correctly displayed on the canvas.
The numbers are sometimes plotted on top of each other.
- If a
run yields multiple solutions then calling for the solutions currently not displayed is only possible immediately after the computation.
If in the meantime the computation procedure has been analysed or the outlier detection has been invoked or the result table has been sorted,
the buttons for calling these solutions disappear. A recomputation puts things right.
-
sometimes finds mathematically equivalent computation procedures.
The corresponding results coincide, but are treated as separate values.
This may influence the computation of the median. See here:
- For and
roundoff errors due to digit cancellation or divergence of iterations may occur.
An error message or warning is displayed.
- For
the computatition of characteristic polynomials of larger matrices may bei inexakt
because the used method of Faddejew und Leverrier may be numerically unstable.
The computatition of roots of such polynomials with
is also critical and may yield inexact results or may even fail.
